Nankeen Kestrel

The Nankeen Kestrel (also known as the Australian Kestrel) is a small to medium raptor that hunts mice, rats, lizards and such in the grasslands.

I watched this one while it was patrolling a newly mown field and got this shot when it hung in a hover checking something out below.
