Pair Of Rainbow Lorikeets

You can't go anywhere in North Queensland without seeing, and definitely hearing, Rainbow Lorikeets.

These very intelligent birds are everywhere and many tourist parks have semi-tamed flocks that will attend every day at the same time for a feeding display, where they will land on the heads, shoulders and arms of amazed visitors.

This is a mated pair and they will stay with each other for life, raising 2-3 chicks at the same nesting site year after year.
